can you tell us which board/model you need to reflash?
Some boards have a security hook which let you reflash,
even when your BIOS is broken.
E.g. the ASUS Aspire One has this, where you have to put
a FAT-format USB-stick with the ROM-image in a special USB-port
and do some keyboard magic.
Maybe your board has something like that too.
