Hello:

Had no success as when I boot the DVD, it reads ok and gives me the  
options, but then jumps to some sort of DOS type menu and then I get  
NO CD as the installer seems to be looking for an IDE type of device  
and the 3505 is using a PCMCIA card.  I tried Unbutno ISO self running  
disk and the same thing happens, also with PC-Linux.  I need to  
research to find the boot option to get the kernels to force read the  
PCMCIA DVD or use a USB Device.

SUSE installed with no hiccups using the PCMCIA Targus DVD/CD-RW that  
came with my 3505 so I know it can be done, I just need to figure what  
"it" is.

In the meantime, I re-installed  SUSE to get some more time with it  
under my belt.

I will report back what I ended up doing.
