Thank you for your time and the link.  I tried what was suggested in  
the wiki and the only ACPI trap that is sent is the battery status.   
Rotating the screen and laying flat generates nothing.

I was just looking to see if I can get rotation supported in the  
display attributes since it says no rotation.  If I can manually  
rotate the screen that would be a plus.  Having rotate automatically  
would be great but it is not a requirement for me at this time.

I wonder if the guru's at toshiba have any ideas, have not heard  
anything.
