Someone gave me a Tecra 8100 which i loaded ubuntu jaunty on. This is working well except I can't get the the TV-out/Fn-F5 function to work. I don't believe its a cable connection problem since the PC screen never "blanks" out when I hit Fn-F5 like the Tecra 8200 machine (runs on Windows 2000) does. For the record, I have tried two cables: 1) the typical RCA-RCA cable, where from one plug I removed the outside metal flanges leaving the straight metal pole. The other is a 3.5mm plug that is connected the three RCA plugs, R, W and Y.
If anyone has figured out how to make the TV-out function works, I would appreciated your solution. Thanks in advance
