I believe that is the issue. Is anyone pushing this still? One solution
would be to just create another device (maybe
/dev/toshiba_acpi). Whatever the solution, this needs to be fixed asap.

I also recently became aware of an ubuntu-specific module named tlsup (i
think). What this exactly is is still a mystery to me, though.
