dynabook AX/2528PDSBにSlackware Linux 10.0

1.リカバリでパーティション確保&install

パーティションはパーティションサイズを変更してリカバリを行なうことで確
保し、BIOSでCDブート優先にしてCDインストールを行ないました。先立って
Windows上でハードウェアを確認しました。また、knoppixを起動して/procな
どでどう認識されているか確認しました。knoppix3.6ではビデオチップをうま
く認識できませんでした。

インストールは難なく行なえました。liloはMBRにインストールし、WindowsXP
の起動もできました。おそらくGRUBの方が便利なのでそのうち替えます。

2.カーネルの調整とXの設定ほか

標準的なインストールでネットワークは動作しました。カーネルの設定を行なう
とともにSlackwareをswaretで最新にアップデートしました。

添付したconfigファイル(カーネル2.6.9の.config)とxorg.conf(X11R6.8.1)
で動作確認しましたので御報告します。カーネルも最新がよいようです。
2.6.8.1ではサウンドが鳴りませんでした。

まだいくつかうまく認識できていない部分もあるようです。サウンドはカーネ
ルのAlsaドライバで動作しています。2.6.9からモデムも使えそうですがモデ
ムは設定していません。

PCMCIAはうまく動作しているようです。しかし、PCIホットプラグがまだ動作
しないのか他のPCで動作するPCカードで動作しないものがあります。USBなど
はうまく動作しているのでとくに不便は感じません。

なお、Xの使用にあたっては、Synaptics TouchPad
driver(http://w1.894.telia.com/~u89404340/touchpad/index.html)を使用す
ることでsynapticsの諸機能が使えています。

CDRへの書き込みなどは問題ありません。DVDは未確認です。
