Hotkey does not work on Satellite

I'm new both to this
mailing list and Toshiba laptops.
The hotkey utility from http://www.buzzard.org.uk/toshiba
doesn't seem to work on my brand-new Satellite
A20-S103.
I just want to adjust the display brightness
in particular.
Would this be possible?

Check out the following site for Toshiba
laptops called FnFX:
http://fnfx.sf.net
All you need is a 2.4.x/2.6.x kernel with
ACPI and Toshiba support
enabled.
