Driver/firmware was located at http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/ and installed w39n51.inf driver using ndiswrapper. Installation was successful, however system tagged this file as 'invalid driver.' Another user of the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 ABG card (in an IBM ThinkPad T60) has another installation option to try, detailed at :
