Fedora Core 3 on Satellite A60-142

Nearly perfect installation procedure using Fedora Core 3.
You'll have to tell Anaconda that your monitor is a LCD panel 1024x768.

Just a few adjustments:

Sound
Add "snd-atiixp" and "snd-atiixp-modem" to /etc/hotplug/blacklist.
Then add "modprobe snd-atiixp" to /etc/rc.d/rc.local.
Then open a mixer and raise volume (it's muted bydefault). Use ALSA.

Wireless Atheros
Use latest MADWIFI driver from http://madwifi.otaku42.de/ . To compile it you'll
need develpment packages from Fedora, SHARUTILS and WIRELESS-UTILS
installed. Just add "modprobe ath_pci" to /etc/rc.d/rc.local and Kudzu will do
the rest when you restart.

TO-DOs
Needs some ACPI support improvements (for example, you cannot
restart, it always gets switched-off). Probably they will be available
on next kernels...
